Why I do what I do.

Choice is one of the only things we have, and you can’t make it if you don’t know it’s there. There have been so many times I’ve lost sight of choice, and become deeply stuck in patterns that were holding me back from a happy, fulfilled life. Every time I’ve reconnected to a choice, it’s an opportunity to learn and grow.

My mission in life is to connect people to their lost choices and help them see a more meaningful, resonant future. To pay forward the support and love I’ve had throughout my life and, as Jack Lemmon so memorably said, “send the elevator back down”  to those still working forward.

I’m based in Madison, WI, USA and speak internationally at conferences, corporate retreats, and workshops. My industry background is diverse, including:

Prior to starting a business I spent 10 years as a professional trainer and IT project manager on a Fortune 50 Healthcare account. I work skillfully with a wide variety of companies and industries, and my tenure in healthcare has created a deep understanding of the culture, protocols, and challenges faced by health practitioners and organizations in particular.

Personal Background

The primary driver in my life is to make the world better by helping others lead their best lives. It’s an honor to witness the resourcefulness, courage, and strength people find inside themselves when they overcome the challenges life brings them.

In addition, I:

  • Believe access to basic resources, such as physical and mental health care, education, and employment training and support are key to creating communities that truly thrive.
  • Support social justice, particularly as an LGBTQ+ ally. I support legislative and community activities that promote inclusion, safety and equality for people of all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, religious beliefs, physical/mental abilities, and socioeconomic status.
  • Am a survivor of physical, emotional and sexual abuse who understands the personal and professional impacts of trauma, regardless of the source.

Volunteer Organizations:

  • National Speakers Association, Wisconsin (NSA-WI) – Co-Dean of the Speakers Academy
  • Domestic Abuse Intervention Service (DAIS) – Career development training coach
  • Greyhound Pets of America – Foster home and event volunteer
